Chadel - chess & padel

Ever heard of chess boxing? High time to combine chess and padel, two booming sports worldwide, to form one fun and exciting new team sport: chadel!
Open Chadel World Championship
Join us, for the first ever Chadel World Cup, to be played on 28 November 2026, at Plaza Padel in Rijswijk, the Netherlands.

How does it work?
A maximum of 32 teams will battle it out, both on the padel court and on two chess boards.
Each team plays 6 rounds. In each round, you face the same opponents at padel and on two adjacent chess boards. In the padel match, you play 8 games in total, so the score can be anywhere between 8-0 and 0-8. A win in rapid chess (7 minutes + 5 seconds increment) nets a player 4 points, a draw 2, so a team can also score a maximum of 8 points on the chess boards. This leads to a combined score between 16-0 and 0-16 each round.
The tournament page is now live and open for registration!
