Canterbury Chess Club

This is the online presence for Canterbury Chess Club, New Zealand. The clubrooms are located at Unit 9, 27 Tyne St, Christchurch.

The club is now open for 2023. The opening nights are:

• THURSDAY - 6.15pm - 9pm: Casual and social play. All people of all ages are welcome. $2 per night charge for non-members. There may be impromptu blitz or rapid tournaments organized on the night.

• WEDNESDAY - 7pm until finished. Competitive play for members. Part-year memberships are available.

When applying to join this Lichess club: if you are not a club member then please give a brief introduction in your Join request, this is just so we can keep on top of player eligibility for NZCF interclub matches.

We have a club Discord server (voice and text chat), which is for club members, and social players and any other NZCF players too. The Discord server requires using your real name. Please send a direct message to either leader or otherwise contact the Club Secretary for the signup link.
