24 members

Play out for the official champion of RAPID chess (within NRST)!

If you enjoy slower chess, try the second 90/30 tournament (normal swiss) at http://en.lichess.org/team/9030-tournament-2.

Available titles (within NRST):
RC (Rapid Champion) - winner until next rapid championship ends. After the championship concludes (and if the RC doesn't defend the title), the RC becomes RM.
RM (Rapid Master) - for finalists.

The chess rapid championships! The time control is 15/10, and you play 2 games, one as white & one as black (either one after the other or at different times) each round. The times to play are negotiated between you and your opponent. Ratedness is negotiated. The format is two games (one black & one white against same opponent)/week. New rules will come out soon. There are qualifier tournaments, then semifinals and then finals. The there are 4 qualifiers (swiss, played at the same time) and the 3 winners of each advance to the semifinals (swiss too), where the 2 winners of each semifinal continue to the finals. The final 4 play a 3-round robin for the final winner.

NOTE: NRST = Negotiated Rapid/Standard Tournaments
