I'm currently a sophomore at Mizzou studying Secondary Education with minors in History and Economics. I've been playing chess since I was 17 and fell in love with the game instantly. When I first walked into my high school's chess club that November, I didn't even know what long castling was. By the end of my senior year (18 months later), I was captain and playing board 2 at the state championship.
My greatest accomplishment in chess so far has been winning the 2020 Mizzou Chess Club Championship with a 3.5/4 score with a tiebreak win over NM Ciprian Comsa. I also grew in rating from 1260 in January 2019 to 1765 by the end of August 2019.
You can typically find me blundering in speed chess or missing tactics in puzzles on Lichess.
