"Working" at lichess is completely voluntary. The website is completely funded by donations and the only person making a living out of it is Thibault Duplessis himself, the founder and main developer of the site.

en.lichess.org/help/contribute <--- check this out to see how you can help lichess improve.

lichess.org is open source. Meaning everyone can contribute at github.com/ornicar/lila.

I don't think lichess is a place for making a career. You have to work voluntary without expecting getting anything out of it yourself unless improving the server.

Thank you for referring me to the open source link!

I am excited to contribute.

Only registered members with one week of lichess activity can contribute to the Q&A.
