I don't think negative vibes are warranted here because I don't think this is such a big deal, compared with the shenanigans of previous years involving persons who shall remain nameless.

Leaving aside arguments about whether or not this practice should continue, this has made me curious about how it is described in Dutch, or for that matter in Swedish. In the UK it is usual to say "the clocks go back" (as reflected in 'Local Boy In The Photograph' by the Stereophonics) and the (American) mnemonic is "fall back, spring forward".
