ATTN: The Summer Zh League

Hey guys

We have been experiencing some crazyhouse mania recently, and I thought I'd make the fire bigger by announcing the first summer zh league! I wanted to announce this event after the CWC final, but I thought I'd make use of the increased zh awareness and announce this event now!

Basically, the event will be similar to other leagues (the old US Chess League, for example). There will be a rating cap for teams (to be determined by the fans!), and monetary prizes, of course. The event will run throughout the month of August.

Any ideas, useful tips, etc.? Post them in this thread!

I miss the Crazyhouse Weekly 1-20 tournaments that took place on every Saturday. They were sponsored by BitChess, but - in my mind - there doesn't have to be money involved, just for love of the game. I'd love to play a strong tournament every now and then, anything between once a week and once a month sounds good to me.

Speaking of zh league, the idea sounds interesting. I'll leave it up to you, but I just say that scheduling is important - as we noticed in CWC.

I would really love to join this as I was looking for a crazyhouse tournament lately and what comes out your mind Fischy is always awesome.

But, there's a but, unfortunately for me, in August I will be spending all my time in USA with my grandparents whom I haven't seen for a long time.

However, you should definitely organize it and if schedules are fine for me, I'll join.

The schedules are going to accommodate all time zones (a bit like the Pro Chess League). I would love to have you join, Deadban!
