5th Correspondence Cup - Games Thread

Tiebreaking procedure

If a match is 1-1 after the first two regular 2 days rated games, a tiebreaker needs to be played.

The third game needs to be at a faster time control than the first two. We recommennd that you play 1 day rated Correspondence. If both players agree on something faster than 1 day Correspondence, we accept this.
To determine who is white in the third game, a coin toss needs to be made. Just ask @weBNimz0 to perform this coin toss.

If the third game ends in a draw as well, a fourth game needs to be played. We recommennd that you play the same time control as in the third game. Players will play this with reversed colours compared to the third game.

If the fourth game as well ends in a draw, a fifth game needs to be played. This game needs to be of a time control faster than Correspondence. We recommend Classical 25+10. If both players agree on something faster than Classical 25+10 or something slower that is still Classical, we accept this. Players will play this with reversed colours compared to the fourth game.

If the fifth game as well ends in a draw, a sixth game needs to be played. We recommend Classical 25+10. If both players agree on something faster than Classical 25+10 or something slower that is still Classical, we accept this. Players will play this with reversed colours compared to the fifth game.

If the sixth game as well ends in a draw, a seventh game needs to be played. We recommend Classical 25+10. If both players agree on something faster than Classical 25+10 or something slower that is still Classical, we accept this. Players will play this with reversed colours compared to the sixth game.

If the seventh game as well ends in a draw, an eigth game needs to be played. We recommend Classical 25+10. If both players agree on something faster than Classical 25+10 or something slower that is still Classical, we accept this. Players will play this with reversed colours compared to the seventh game.

If the eight game as well ends in a draw, the ninth game needs to be in a time format faster than Classical. We recommend Blitz. The players are to play as many Blitz 3+2 games needed, until either player wins. If both players agree on some other time control of Rapid or Blitz, we accept this.

When it comes to the Classical and Rapid/Blitz games, its up to the players to agree on a common time when these games can be played. To save time, we recommend that the fifth and sixth games are played right after each other at the same occasion. The same goes for games seven and eight.

Tiebreaking in short: (when played according to our recommendations)

Fifth game: Classical 25+10
Sixth game: Classical 25+10
Seventh game: Classical 25+10
