lichess.org/training/YEUy2I think a good puzzle should have clear winning idea. This "puzzle" have no idea, it is a question "how to play this middlegame". To add confusion, it is marked as "short puzzle", while it is actually very long.
@Mantram_Patel White can play Kg2 on the first move and queen is not trapped anymore.
The pawn will kill it then
I do feel the need to point out the puzzle rating is close to 2900.
I think the idea is clear, with Rd2 we are threatening Rf6+ (taking on f2), white has to respond with Rf1 or something and then f5 traps the queen because Qf4 is met by Qc6+ and the white king can't go back to e2 which is why we included Rd2 as an intermezzo move.
@hendrixmaine I answer to black's Rd2 by white's Kg2. What is the next black's move?
Just Qd6 attacking g3, Qf4 is obviously the only move and then Rf6 just wins on the spot because Qxd6 is met by Rxf2+ and then recapturing the queen and the rooks on the 7th are just too strong. For example just Bxg3 and Bh2+ winning the exchange is hard to prevent.
Again, the puzzle is supposed to be hard. It has a rating of 2900.
