Sandbagging issue in casual games??

Thanks for that mate. Yeh, I felt the same way when once I got a message from lichess saying that I was, funnily enough, sandbagging!!! - I'd quit a few games after 2 or 3 moves due to a frenzy of pre-moving that I was doing in a sort of state of frustration, of course which inevitably didn't pan out well for my games - and this was misinterpreted by the lichess bots as something I was doing on purpose to lower my rating, where the reality was that my quickly declining rating was just adding to my anxiety, and I found myself caught in a spiral. So I thought this automatically generated message was unfair. But later on I kinda thought, there's like 17,000 games being played at any given time, let alone how many accounts there must be - so I realised it would be near impossible for a site this size to even get close to getting everything right. But at least those bots are out there, and us getting sent erroneous messages sometimes is just a byproduct of a system that is well intentioned. - but we take these things personally sometimes - that's just human nature - but we needn't. (Easier said than done of course!)

Have a great day mate.

I feel like you're serious? If so, - interesting to hear this from the other side. - and the fact that you've actually joined this thread with a candid but reasonably put statement is a credit to the world of Trolldonia. Plaudits to you sir.

The question is though - what exactly is the kick in trolling people, and why do you find it fun?

Glad to hear that you personally spare lichess from this torment though - but those poor people on that "other" site... (of which I used to be one). -- this being one of the reasons why I'm so glad I discovered this site. I didn't hesitate to migrate over immediately -- people here just seem more considerate, even trolls such as your good self!

Please send my best wished to the people of Trolldonia. - and, who knows, maybe one day there can be hope for an alliance.

I used to have an issue with sandbagging. My solution was to stop wearing a Speedo to the beach and to wear swimming trunks instead. Hope this helps.
What's even the point of sandbagging? Why people do it?????????????

So they can play & win against easy opponents. Because they think it's more fun to crush people than try to improve.
