Engine recommending an impossible move

I was analysing this game with the help of the game. The engine recommends 12. exd6. How can that be? There is no pawn on d6 square. Pawn is on d5.
Its en passant. You can do it when your pawn is on 5th rank and a black pawn moves 2 squares and lands next to your pawn. You can ignore that he moved 2 squares and act like he only moved one square with this pawn. Same works for black if he has a pawn on 4th rank and a white pawn moves next to it.

Unfortunately you did not know the rule. If you knew it and played the move, the position would be much better for you
I taught "en passat" is a myth or some old forgotten rule but it seems like Lichess still apply this complicated thing to some of our games. Any idea why?
