elo correspondence games

i only play correspondence, and i think i play very well, though being 1500. i meet such strong resistance even below 1600. i wonder how the elo of correspondence compares to the elo of time controlled games.
I'm afraid that you are hugely overestimating your skill at chess. I took a look at a few of your games and saw blunders that should never be happening in correspondence.
If you think you play very well but your rating says you're average, definitely there's gotta be something wrong with the rating system indeed
yes, vulcanforge, that's true. often it happens that both players meet each other for several moves, and in that case i don't like to keep my opponent waiting for too long.
besides, since a couple of days a play casual games, so when you look at those most recently they don't give the right picture.
I feel like correspondence ratings are actually much higher than blitz and bullet ratings. I have a correspondence rating above 2000 while my OTB rating is around 1650, so that's a difference of 350 points. Some friends of mine who have an OTB rating of around 1800 have 1900 blitz ratings here, a difference of 100.
Correspondence and over the board require different skills.
Some players are strong over the board, but do not have the time, patience, dedication, interest to analyse long, deeply and efficiently.
Some players are strong in correspondence, but lack the nerves, the physical stamina, the fast calculation skills to play over the board.
