Footnote

So, if you’d read my blogpost prior you’d have seen the written skeleton so to speak of my journey out of chess.

What wasn’t clear however I think is that the whole expose was none other than to write off literally or disavow the games played on this account.

Remember that we’re going by the recency effect such that I remember the last thing I did and on this account it would be throwing the game subconsciously or consciously whichever way you want to look at it.

Which means that every effort on this account was a throwing of sorts and therefore the last serious game was indeed the twelve mover I think — which again means it is.

And so all of this playing and subsequent writing for what? It’s karma?
"Chess is, in itself, a meaningless game. What I mean by that is that it's just wooden pieces on a wooden board (or, in this internet age, pixels on a screen). However, the associations that chess forms for us in our minds are endless."

How about you substitute my game against Sadler -- does that make any difference?

Black is lost after a mere ten or so moves (actually with that opening, but that's another story). "Bad luck" as Fabiano Caruana would say. But why tho?

"Fixing memories," although here there isn't closure.
What we often forget in this complicated world is the art of thinking simple. Don't forget a 'game' means 'pure fun'.
yes i agree that sometimes its important to think simple. however there is something transcendental so to speak about this game as well that i cant explain adequately :(
(ps - i said it better before but then my internet crashed and i forgot how i said it xd)
