Death - Heaven or Hell?

An interesting scientific view on the topic, @Rapid167 #3, i disagree with the after-death part but the rest is interesting.

My answers to these questions from @MightyCreator #1 (i like this name):

What is consciousness?

According to http://www.truthunity.net/mbd/consciousness "Knowing that you know". "Con scious ness" - "with know ness". German: "Be wusst sein" - "being be-known". So, what is knowing? According to www.quora.com/What-is-knowing "To understand" - "under stand". German: "Ver stehen" - "For standing". I dont know if that helps, i like the definition.

Is there a soul behind consciousness?

Yes. Soul causes consciousness, life, everything. Therefore it must be nothing - the buddhist point of view.

Do I have a soul?

You are soul. You have a body. Your body is your biological machine which you use to interact with the world. The cases of Anencephaly mentioned by @Rapid167 are not soul-less, but soul-left. The biological machine is broken, the soul fist tries but then leaves the body, in order to incarnate in a better one, well that went wrong. The body dies.

The soul usually has not just one body and does not operate in just one world. It lives many different lifes in many different worlds and/or times in parallel. Sometimes it communicates with other lifes through dreams, but that does not happen often. The interdimensional constellations must be supportive. Most often dreams are subconscious workups of everyday life.

Does the soul die at death?

What is "living"? Particles which move around in space in an organized way. The soul is the "force" behind. It creates and moves and stops particles. It is not a particle, it does not move like one. It does not get lost, as well as force does not get lost. So the answer would be no. The soul is a static, the body is temporarily. it becomes too expensive to constantly repair the body, so the soul leaves it and incarnates in a new one.

Does consciousness exist after death?

Yes of course, everything gets saved. Based on this the soul develops deeper knowingness during its lifes.

Are heaven and hell concepts or places?

Heaven is white karma and hell is black karma, both located in their own dimensional room. Karma does not get lost between lifes. The soul collects karma, based on its actions. Eg. If you beat someone with no reason you get black karma, the other guy gets white karma. Black karma will drag the soul down, white karma drags it up.

Truthfulness, empathy and forgiveness support creation of white karma, and, through that, the uprising of the soul. They are golden rules.

If you see yourself acting unethical check yourself against those three to find out which is missing. If you have a problem with someone, check him/her against them to get a better understanding of him/her.

Ok, that was my point of view, have a nice evening, everybody.
@homo-ludens-x
Whoa, slow down, there is no such thing as karma. Much less evidence of it.

According to the Bible, we have sinned against God and already deserve to go to Hell.
God is holy and demands payment, so we are all headed there.
But being merciful, God sent his son (Jesus) to be born of a virgin in the form of man, be crucified, and be raised to life after 3 days.
In doing so, he paid for our sins, so long as we trust and have faith in him.
So that we may spend eternity in Heaven with him.
[you alone are wise, you alone have knowledge, you alone are good. Thank you. Though I despair I'm comforted by the knowledge that I know nothing as it shall be known when the time is right. Though I despair, yet the Lord is wise and good. So that I can not be troubled to worry though I warm my lonliness among the embers of hell, I cannot be moved to dismay. Thanks again for the unsearchable kindness I enjoy] -maybe. for example

Commend good will towards fellow man
who would glorify the truth and / or contend to correct
As two wrongs dont make a right so
Two rights certainly don't make a wrong

Here is the end of your striving:

Thank God

I admire your spirit at this stage in your life. You are not wrong and there is no way you could know how you will look back every few revelations at naivety blameless.
But what is honesty without truth? High quality lie

A cylinder hung near a corner casts a circular shadow from the end and a perfect rectangle from the side onto the adjacent wall. Observers exposed to only one wall disagree as to the object casting the shadow confidently. If fact, neither has guessed correctly. And people even kill others who just won't understand right.

But all 8 Billion perspectives in the world are valid equally. None are the same. All disagree. None understand the big picture completely. Especially all things more complex than washing dishes or accomplishing homeostasis through available means. The truly enlightened one, he is favored in this and not accomplished, he is sure that any universal truth or meaning of life and every other abstract concept with a name that attempts to captivate or enlighten are all deceptions.

He is safe. He knows how to live in the circumstances he finds himself in. He is happy to be so simple and not burdened to know this. Therefore it cannot be told. The proof is in the word. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness comprehends it not. So what shall I explain to you?

But you ain't trying to hear that. You're trying to learn it the hard way. No one loves God. No one has understanding. And no one can. But they all respond to love. So how can you truly be wise if you know these things?

He are my credentials, education, and evidence of research and signature of the one who has shown me all things I have never shared....successfully:

It was just a word or like a thought like nothing out of nowhere with no bearing that I dismissed and forgot quickly and another the same way several years later. And several more years later this third strange message called up the first two installments of the most awesome thing that happened in my life until that time. It was a singular message that had been revealed to me in 3 installments over 10 years. I disregarded the message faster than I could comprehend it although it was short and simple as one. I knew someone with an attention span at least 10 years long had willingly revealed this method of communicating to me. I mean I knew it was like the greatest celebrity of all time. It was so awesome I can't remember what the message was. So overshadowed by the once in human history nature of the medium.

So if you are some kind of crazy who is able to read this far seriously and to consider these words I would offer further that this was only one example of many and no one is pressuring anyone to try to understand everything. It isn't possible. Like the liars who say, "til death do we part" cannot honestly say he will feel the same in 2 years or 40. And he can see that if he would look.

Socrotes said, "seek truth"
it is safe to infer socrates suggests we don't know truth and truth is good for us to know. But he's in the same boat. How can he know that?

If you need truth what exactly will allow you to recognize truth when you find it? So the fallacy of Socrates is almost laughable from the truth's eyes. which is hilarious.

So Don't waste another moment of your life with truth which must compromise for everyone and not in a universal way.

drop it. Now build a better Thank You for the Lord

just skip all bullshit and Start to say thank you at every bad in your life.

Try to Make your Thanks more appealing and enjoyable. Delight the one who does everything for you by finding truth of thanking him that no one ever thought of yet. Even trying this is good.

These instructions are good for everyone in the world. no one will suffer or offend anyone by this singular instruction. This religion of one step. A 3 year old can comprehend this and remember it for life. If he manages to remember to practice only the first time then he will never fail.

These people will be caught whining or crying how life's not fair or blaming their tragic unexpected turns on some oppressive force. just to name a few.

you can comprehend the investment and begin to see the value of the return right now. it is easily the best religion if it were to be officially recognized and included on Wikipedia the 6,200 religions which are taken seriously.

Let the one who has knowledge choose when and how to reveal it, let the one who has wisdom be recognized for benevolence. There is only one good.
oh, hell
most definitely.
sucks

(sorry for answer 2. I can't resist presenting this answer too. ((i'm not good)))
Bonus Questions: Who owns this?
@Kaynight1 we were not discussing about fairies here! I did want to talk about:
(1) Existence of Soul?
(2) Reality of Death?
(3) Post Death?

I mean actual realities, provable theories and philosophy. Not fantasy or mythology.

So I referenced someone who claims to have died and come back again (Jesus Christ). Fairies have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with any of this!!?

FYI

fairy
/ˈfɛːri/
noun
1. a small imaginary being of human form that has magical powers, especially a female one.

@Rapid167 specifically Jesus Christ is recorded saying thus on the topic:

Matt 16:24-25: Then Jesus told his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul? [..]

Matt 10:28: "[..] And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. [..]"

Thus yes implying the soul can be destroyed but it's not destroyed at death.
@MightyCreator You didn't respond to my rebuttal of your claims? Do you agree the resource you listed do not support your position or no?

Also, I am wondering what you think of this (from that bible link I gave you):

"Though we may die, Jesus says, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live” (John 11:25). We will receive immortality when Jesus comes again (see 1 Corinthians 15:51-54). The Bible says that all those who have died—both righteous and wicked—will be raised to life in one of two resurrections. The righteous will be raised to life at Jesus’ second coming. “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first” (1 Thessalonians 4:16, NKJV). According to this verse, the righteous do not go to heaven when they die. They remain asleep in the grave until Jesus returns and raises them to immortal life (see 1 Corinthians 15:50-57)."

And what you think of (Matthew 16: 27, 28):

"27 For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.

28 “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”

Jesus lied in the claim of 28? From the first quote this means that all that have died since (and before?) the time of Jesus are simply dead in the ground with currently no soul (rather than being in heaven or anywhere else).

What do you think of this?
@Rapid167 I think you misunderstood me. Let me clarify:

1) By experimentation I mean: have a hypothesis, observe phenomenon concerning hypothesis, measure whether the observed outcome of the phenomenon is the same as the predicted outcome in the hypothesis.

2) Your hypothesis: (1) brain disabled people have no soul (2) brain damaged people lose their soul (3) at death the soul ceases

3) A related phenomenon: cases where people have suffered brain damage and have been declared brain dead

4) Your hypothesis' outcome: brain dead or brain damaged people will never again have soul (you defined as internal perception). They have lost their soul.

5) Observed outcome: neurologically declared brain dead or brain damaged people do in cases again have soul (you defined as internal perception) (as high as 58%). They have NOT lost their soul.

I was using the observable (brain damage) to check you hypothesis against it's claims on the harder to observe (death). And I found it does not quite tally.

Therefore I asked you to confirm if this was your hypothesis, or scope it to cases you deem relevant or broaden the hypothesis to carter for it's obvious fallacy.

The very first quotation you cited is exactly my argument against your hypothesis' outcome and observed outcome in reality. Which the source totally supports and also tries to critic brain dead declaration due to human error or biased declarations and argues for recovery due to neuro-intensive care:

"[..]In addition to the reported survivors in the "brain death" literature, the data from the neuro-intensive care literature [..] of 3,306 trauma patients admitted with GCS three showed an overall survival rate of 58.2 percent [..]"
I think these are two different events:

1) This is a promise that they will not die before they see his coronation (return from the dead):
"Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."

2) This is a promise that though they have died, they too will be resurrected when he comes to conqueror territory (return to earth):
"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live"

27 and 28 are not sequential thus can be misunderstood. Consider a college senior saying to they juniors:
"I'm going to make partner at KPMG. You will still be here for my graduation."

Does it mean they will still be in school while their senior is partner at KPMG?

3) From the previous citation Jesus implies it's God alone that can kill the soul. From my Biblical research I believe to have understood that there are MANY DIFFERENT places the soul may go to upon death.

But that is the very thing I wanted to hear everyone's views on.
What do you think?
Is there any evidence supporting your thought process?
Can we discuss you evidence?
