Useful Chess Tip

Chess tip...You will never become a master chess player, unless you first master end game. I remember a post by CM Master Sargon, when recommending a chess book on end game. He recalled his painstaking effort to learn end game. I have always held the notion that you should play with the end game in mind. An example would be...That innocuous little pawn move you made early in the game..turns out to be a backward pawn that bites you in the butt in the end game. At the very least do study basic end technique...it will pay off. :]
@Abyssinia

that has a lot of truth in it

however
i know one player who tries to work from the end game back
he often loses in the middle game trying to get a better pawn position for the end game

i prefer to work from where i am
ensure no tactical surprises can happen
then slowly and steadily improve my position
knowing that if we get to an end game i will prevail

I would like to share a "epigram" written by Master chess player I. Chernev " In the opening a master should play like a book, in the middle game he should play like a magician , in the end game he should play like a machine" I have always thought that it is middle game that separates the men from the boys. The challenge being to deal with the abyss of middle game , with rapid or bullet play in today's style of play. :]
A duo meaning word...I assume that the Spanish adopted the word, and somehow changed it to mean "Bishop" !? :]
If you don't visualize the horizon to understand what material might be left at the end of the game, you will be left with the luck of the pieces left on the chessboard. Might as well use a dice to see the results.

Do you just drive around to see where your going or drive with a plan to get to where you want to go?
Pro chess tip: play the best moves and you will win.

Won me a lot of games! You guys should try.
Very nice! They are useful facts you have ever learned but have forgotten. There are many more of them. Especially in the endgame. Is there a collection of these tips? Knowledge of these tips prevents a lot of unnecessary calculation.
Pro Chess Tips...Help your pieces so they can help you. {P. Morphy}...An Isolated pawn spreads gloom all over the board. {Dr. S. Tartakover} ...The refutation of a sacrifice frequently consists with its acceptance. {W. Steinitz} ...A threat is more powerful than its execution....Dr. T again. :]
