Of basic fair-play.

  “[A t]akeback is not to be demanded[.]”

  And no one is demanding them, so that’s a non sequitur.

  “[I]ts implementation should only take into consideration the convenience of the player that [sic] wants to offer it!”

  How is having to click the Decline button more convenient than simply moving?

  “Use some paragraph spacing for God's sake[. D]idn't they teach you that in school?!”

  Block paragraphs are an artefact of the earliest days of the Internet (and, IMHO, an eyesore and waste of space). In the era of webfonts & CSS, there is no good reason not to use indented paragraphs, as in any professionally published work. That said, I use block paragraphs for quotations (as you can see).
  Once again, you do yourself no favors here. As an argument that was admirably specious, but you shoot yourself in the foot.
It's funny how you changed the subject completely. Instead of admitting you were wrong you do another switcheroo. Read what others write correctly so you won't have to resort to such silly tactics to feel good about yourself.

The aim of editing is to make things more legible and less prone to misunderstanding. So use spacing when you write on this forum. Also it looks silly when you do this: __Underline__

Pay attention to the medium and its capabilities and limitations! You'd know that if you knew anything about editing. For example in professional publications they justify text! Everything is well aligned! So indenting makes the paragraph stand out. But here you use indent on the left while your text is not aligned on the right. So basically your paragraph is misaligned on both sides. It looks awful!

  Ah, but I didn’t change the subject; I replied directly to you. (See the block quotes.) It is true _you_ changed the subject, but don’t blame me for that. (And I already noted this, e.g. when observing your recourse to a non sequitur.)
  FYI: The underscores indicate italics, not an underline. In most internet forums (e.g. YouTube comments), words set apart in this way are automatically italicized. For whatever reason, Lichess have elected to forgo that nicety (along with any other formatting options), but perhaps they will someday add buttons for basic formatting, as well as emoticons, etc.
  Alas, far from being tempted to continue this discussion in private, your apparent immaturity (or should I say, immaturity!) — quite apart from any lack of credientials or experience in my chosen field, or the fact that it is off-topic in this thread — disinclines me to continue it even here. I do not say this as an easy out; any third party can attest that I’ve been more than patient with you thus far. But while I admit this has been amusing, I have better things to do with my time than debate paragraph styling in a thread about takebacks trolled by someone who doesn’t believe in either thing. 😉 Have a good evening, sir.
@pawnedge

Oh you're one of those people in youtube comments section! lol I get it now. But surely you've posted enough here to know it doesn't work the same way!?

But your editing digression was revealing somehow. You only care about the means and the formalities. You're just happy that you're following some editing guideline, but you never bother to take a step back and look at your text, does it really look good? It looks terrible! You can't align your text here. Did you even notice this major aesthetic point?
So adjust yourself to the medium! Use space not indent!

Same with takeback, you're so preoccupied with how it should be implemented you forget what it really means to have takeback in a rated game of chess.

=============================
I edited your text for you, isn't it much more legible and easier on the eyes now?:

Ah, yes I did change the subject; I replied directly to you. (See the block quotes.) It is true I _STILL_ do this thing, but don’t blame me for that. (As you already noted this, I love formalities and I resort to formal terminology e.g. non sequitur.)

FYI: The underscores indicate emphasis, not an italic. In some internet forums (e.g. YouTube comments), words set apart in this way are automatically italicized. For whatever reason, Lichess have elected to forgo that nicety (along with any other formatting options), but perhaps they will someday add buttons for basic formatting, as well as emoticons, etc.

Alas, far from being tempted to continue this discussion in private, my apparent immaturity (or should I say, immaturity!) — quite apart from my lack of credientials [oh no, I made a typo!] or experience in my chosen field, or the fact that it is off-topic in this thread — disinclines me to continue it even here. I definitely say this as an easy out; any third party can attest that I’ve been more than stubborn with you thus far. But while I admit this has been educative for me, you have better things to do with your time than debate paragraph styling in a thread about takebacks trolled by someone who doesn’t believe in either thing. 😉 Have a good evening, sir.
