You should have played 10...Kd7 so as after 11 Nxa8 to play 11...Qd8 and cut off the retreat of Na8.
Nice recovery. Whites position after 33 Kb1 makes me sad. Up an exchange, but totally lost. The king and a1 rook both paralyzed FOREVER if the black rook claims the c-file. Your position there was better than you realize.
