Regular flue vs COVID-19 infection and death rate

I'm qute frustrated because in my country officials will most probably proclamate 24 hours "police hour". I have no clue how that will work. The most of agriculutures will waste, probably many people will start to starve and without drinking water if forbid even time to get basic every day. Volunteers with special permission will service all - I highly dobut.

I have even started recently wilth invest quite a bit of money and effort to early "Natural" (no pesticide) plants growing, but now that all will most probably waste...

But, what is my main dileamma is this:

1. Is there statistic how many people get sick from common season flue and how many dies anually? I believe at least 50% of population get sick, many people with serious health problems dies from complication, many faidly suffer only 3-5 days depending on his current state of immune system. How many do not take a vaccine and even work such sick, contage co-workers and clients and no one cares?

2. The current COVID-19 is some variant of SARS with extereme ability to kill patient, just as epidemiologist said, no matter of ages and health condition.

But such madness, insane prices and "Martial law", that is always on my mind. When government susped all human rights, even to bread fresh air, what we will become? Basically all this is turned into global madness I have no clue what to think or expect...

According to Oxford and Stanford this strain of Corona is 0.01% mortality rate, making it weaker than any flu. But this virus spreads quickly and effects SOME immune compromised people very badly, this gives perfect opportunity to scumbags in governments to take over and control you like in a concentration camp. And they LOVE doing that.

I followed and supported you with your points on bullet chess,100%, but your thoughts on this deadly pandemic are completely inaccurate and your sort of talk is potentially very dangerous if people don't follow correct social distance strategies. Please stick to chess, as I probably should too, but I am very concerned by this and take it very seriously.

The Coronavirus is abut 20 times more deadly than flu. Mortality rates differ from country to country. Death rates are around 1%-9%, but this depends on testing rates and populations, but still it is a real killer, do not underestimate it please.

Follow government advice, keep inside, wash hands regularly and keep safe.

I posted links to Oxford and Stanford in Corona virus thread, they know much more about this virus than you do. You have been scared by your TV, turn it off. (Wash your hands after you turn off the TV, you need to wash off the fears,on gearing propaganda)

@5 tell that nonsense to Italy with a death rate of 8% and over 10 thousand people dead in a couple of week. Or Spain who are closing on in.

The whole world is on lockdown with 100s/1000s of people dying each day because of it. It is a pandemic don't you know....

If you want to say the death rate is 0.01% then whatever. Say what you want, but for anyone else watching just note that this is complete bullshit.

This strain attack lungs so rapidly that pneumonia is dedly if not cure - in Itally it is 10%, not 0.01, nor 1-3%, I will not analyse what is the cause of it. If one strain of the virus has mortality rate of 0.01% that doesn't mean another will have 10% or even more than 50. Viruses can mutate unpredictable and if not deadly or even do not give any symptoms in one host (speces, never mind what it is), that does not mean it will behaves the same on other speces if able to survive in that new environment - can mutate and become deadly, depending on how immune system within new host reacts...

But medicine is not my area, what I generally know is irrelevan and may be not correct - that is the reason whole discussion about is pointless - I will left that to epidemiologists. I refering here on consequences, which are plain madness.

And I do not want here another thread with accusations of any kind, but info if anyone is aware of official data of interest regarding season flu.

It is quite disingenuous for those sucking up the mainstream narrative to cite "politics". Since for those with eyes to see the whole thing is political. The notion that if you go along with the mainstream it is normal but dissension is "political" is bollocks.
