canceled game

How and/or why this game has been canceled ?

It says that white aborted the game. In my experience, when that happens, a pop up appears telling you so, and asking if you want to wait for them to return, claim a victory or claim a draw.

But that's strange, a game can only be aborted at the very beginning. This looks like a bug, looking at the move times white didn't make a move and lost all his time, but the game should have been a win on time for black, not aborted

Hmm... You might be right. Now that I think about it, when somebody abandons a game it doesn't say "aborted", right? It says "so and so left".

@Eloest, maybe try getting in touch with the team at contact@lichess.org if none of them respond here. They may have additional insight to what happened.

Yeah it also happened to me once... never found the reason why.

Yes, from what I've seen looking at other people's posts, there seems to have been some sort of crash on the Lichess server yesterday, I think that's what caused all the trouble.

Hopefully the Lichess Team can find a way to reverse the damage, but if they can't, then I guess we should move on. A bit of rating doesn't matter so much :)
