Nuclear deal

Why does the United States want to reach a nuclear deal with Iran?
@dOnYa1386
My only answer is…

POLITICS!
STEP 1 - GO AND BUY SOME CHICKEN FEED
STEP 2 - GO AND BUY A CHICKEN.
STEP 3 - FEED THE CHICKEN
STEP 4 - TRADE IT FOR A NUCLEAR BOMB
STEP 5 - DISMISS EVERYTHING I WROTE BEFORE BECAUSE ITS NOT TRUE (ITS THE STEPS TO TRADE A CHICKEN WITH A NUCLEAR BOMB!)
Iran's policy is very strange. As the elections approach, all prices will fall so that people will be satisfied. They do whatever it takes to get people to vote.
The US wants a nuclear deal as the most realistic scenario to hinder Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Iran wants a nuclear deal to ease sanctions.

Both right now want the other to make the first concessions, and neither appears willing so far.

Israel doesn't trust that the mechanisms of the nuclear deal prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, and they also want steps to limit military support for Iranian proxies such as Hezbollah, the Houthis and Hamas.

And that is my summary of the current state of the nuclear deal in less than five sentences.
i have a chicken leg left from sunday can i just buy the warhead ?
1. It has nothing to do with Iran access to nuclear weaponry. (Nuclear weapons are obsolete, all powerful, but simultaneously all useless from a monetary perspective)
2. It political. (Iran's refusal to except Israel as a country, and it's rivalry with Saudia Arabia (both are USA allies))
3. (My guess) It's about energy sufficiency?
(Iran are currently self-sufficient, but also have the capacity for energy export)
4. It's not about ideology or religion.
