There is a rematch button

I don't believe you grasped the point. When someone begins a game, they agree to one game. A rematch is a second game, which can only be begun with the consent of both parties. Forcing someone to play a chess game is...kind of odd IMO.

They may also not be cowards. They may want to analyze. They may not have time for a second game. Even if they are cowards, forcing them to do something they did not agree to is, well, impolite.

You also point out that there is a rematch button. That is true, but there is also an analysis board button and a new opponent button. In-game there is a resign button. The existence of a button does not mean you need to use it.

@BearInBikini
Rematch troll.

By the way, I have no problem to rematch from time to time (see yesterday) but usually I won’t. @Jacob531 said it all.

... says the surly, whiny, entitled teenager without social skills who just lost a game and thinks he is owed a chance to avenge his humiliation, lol!
I always give rematch and that's part of the fair play. If you are too scared to give a rematch, don't play at all.
If you are too scared of losing to require a rematch, don't play at all.
people don't not give rematches because they're scared maybe they just don't want to play someone like you again
Typical idiot "you're just too scared of me" chest-thumping.
