Pawn ending tactic

Here (In some time trouble and trying to not lose) I assumed that a pawn ending was fine for black.
Stockfish after the game showed a great pawn ending tactic.
45...Nf4?? 46.Nxf4! Kxf4 47.d4d5!! and white wins.

(3 0 game, 1700+ opp. 8/2/1, 49 acpl)

Makes sense because White queens with check with the b-pawn or mates with the d-pawn.

As a general rule pawn endings are sharper than knight endings. And knight endings are sharper than other endings. Here sharp means with less margin for error: with a narrower draw margin.
