Awesome, this is an excellent initiative. Super strong GMs like Georg Meier and Bassem Amin have already joined the tournament, and I expect a lot more strong titled players to create an account to play in it. I hope MC participates in the tournament, the site would explode!
Either way, this will significantly boost lichess' popularity and the tournament will be very exciting to spectate.

GREAT IDEA to increase titled players on lichess and increase Lichess TV quality!
Is nice to motivate titled players to play here...and a titled tournament with a money trophy is the correct way because it is like a real official OTB titled tournament; beautiful to see.
