I play only white

What do you think of players that play only white?

Shouldn´ t the system give them a limited number of games where they can play white and then make them play black?

Is it within the rules of fairness to allow them to be "only" white players?

I have seen players that ALWAYS play white. They win or lose, they get out and keep playing only white...
My brother ( @v2chess ) actually hates when people do this. He complains loudly about people like this :)

What they do is they choose white or black, instead of random. Unfortunately, they have the freedom to choose their color as long as they are playing lobby games or challenges. In tournaments, this is not the case.
Ithink those ' only white' players are missing out... I love playing the black pieces: King's indian defence, pirc, French, Caro-kann... GOOD STUFF. I'm tempted to play only as black but I'm afraid someone would come along and tell me that I have to play white as well.
Yes, but as my brother mentioned me @ordinary_pawn, they do this in variants especially and usually have slight edge to start with.
@oh_my_goat_Im_so_bat played only white against a 2600 bot and went up a lot, then his next atomic tournament he got 28 blacks in a row. They get karma dude, karma
if i got a player who only plays as white i would be happy to play them as i can try out my opening as black more ;) also if they do not play with black much if you play them in a tournament in person you should have an advantage against them as they will not be used to playing black :D
I don't think I could play chess, if I was afraid to play black. Fear of playing black is a serious psychological condition. How could one expect their game to progress other wise. Perhaps the first thing one needs to do, is to stop fearing losing...I mean... you lose games as white...losing as black is no worse. Whites only real advantage is that it has the initiative. Having the initiative is no guarantee of success. :]
I think those who want to play only games with white care too much about their online ratings :)
