[Bug] Ratings for Puzzles can be cheatable ?

Well there's no point of the "suggestion" as if somebody really wants to cheat they can. Nothing is going to stop them even this "suggestion" which used to be implemented and then was changed to what we have currently. Also training rating doesn't even count for anything. It's just there so that you can monitor your own improvement.
The puzzles are there as a learning tool.

I use the training puzzles as a measure of my tactical skills.
If my rating drops like my last years tactical puzzles, I'm not going to perform well in chess games. My puzzle rating this year is starting to increase and my games are starting to get better too.

For some temptation to get the answer by other means is too great. It's like asking what time is it, rather than carrying your own watch.

Some might like to point out imperfections in a system or a person. That's seeing the negative side ...

Look at the positive side, great puzzles and if you stay away from assistance, your rating is your actual tactical rating.

What would be nice is to see something like the correspondence profile but modified for puzzles.
lichess.org/@/Toscani/perf/correspondence

Example: (What I would like to see in the puzzle profile).
Total time spent on puzzles 16h, 33m
Average puzzles 1767.19
Total solved:
Total failed puzzles:
* Total puzzles solved using assistance:
Total puzzles remaining to be solved:
Highest rating: 2171 (2014.04.29)
Lowest rating: 1500
Solving streak Longest: 7 games
Unsolved streak Longest: 7 games
Best rated solved puzzles ... (Shows tactical strengths)
Worst rated solved puzzles ... (Shows tactical weaknesses)
Puzzles solved in a row ...
Max time spent solving puzzles ....

The tactical weaknesses is useful to know.

Thankyou for making this site outstanding.
@Toscani
Your suggestion is way better. I agree.

@Toscani @MrGM @thibault
What i said was one can cheat the scores of training puzzles pretty easily. "Its like giving a robber your house key." So i suggested to fix it.

I know its not a big deal. I just simply pointed it out.

@Breaking-Limits
The game link is available for students that need that type of assistance to solve or understand the puzzle.

All they need to do is right click the game link and open a new page and they will see the answer.

It's not a bug, it's an available assistance to solve a puzzle.
@Toscani
I know that game link is available for assistance to solve or understand the puzzle.

But what i am trying to say is ** "From game" link should be ***hidden*** like puzzle rating until players either solves the puzzles or fails at it. ** [ Puzzle Ratings are affected ]

I am not asking to delete it.

***I would also like to see Puzzle profile that you suggested a reality.***
@thibault @Breaking-Limits Is it possible to leave "From game" link there, but add text saying (Give-up press link). Don't hide it.

If the "From game" link is pressed it should not permit the users puzzle rating to increase for that puzzle. It's like getting the answers to an exam and getting credits for it.

At the present time, if someone continues to use the "From game" link they will continue getting harder and harder puzzles as they continue to use the assistance.

The aim of the puzzles is to help train players and have readily available assistance to learn from puzzles. If the rating increases they will no longer get useful puzzles for their skill level.

Chess coaches could then use the "From game" link and not be worried that they are going to give students harder puzzles as they are solved in class. When all the students in the class can solve puzzle a particular level of puzzles, then the next level of puzzles can become available.

Maybe what the puzzles need is a limit to prevent puzzles from increasing in rating until the user is ready to solve harder puzzles.
Anything is possible but I agree with #15 that this really, really isn't a priority.

You might be surprised that that URL used to be hidden, but it made the code more complicated and it reduced page load performance.
