select puzzle difficulty

Hey, I wonder if it may be possible to have an option to select somehow the difficulty when doing puzzles.

Sometimes I just wanna do some puzzles as a warm up before playing a game,
and for that I don't want a super difficult challenge.

In general I have a little bit the feeling, that the puzzle system is overall more punishing than motivating.....

Maybe it would be neat to have like easy, medium, and hard selection......or at least a skip puzzle button.
(Show solution is not a skip button)

Thank you.
What's the point of having a puzzle rating if you can just skip puzzles? *sad face*

Or do you suggest something else like an unrated version of the tactics trainer?
Yes, I see. But what's the point of a puzzle rating, if it's anyhow with no time restriction overall. I think the puzzle rating is most of all for yourself.

Maybe. Let me compare it with the match-making. I always can decide against who I want to play.
For example i can choose 1500-1700. If I want to get more challenged I can rise my filter to 1600-2000 or whatever.

When you have a puzzle rating you always get puzzles, matching with your rating.
So you can't just say "hey, I wanna do some easy puzzles for the warm up, or today I search for a real puzzle-challenge"
You just can do, what lichess gives you. I hope it got more clear.

(Btw. imo some puzzles are so bizzare, I would love to have a skip button...but I see the point in not having it.)
I completely agree.
Sometimes I want to get easy puzzles and the quickest way to do this is using a private window where I'm not logged into lichess. While this workaround works it surely isn't optimal. The option to only get puzzles that are significantly lower/higher rated than your own puzzle rating would be very welcome.

Also I don't care about the puzzle rating, but trying to keep it high is the only way to get hard puzzles if I want them as the workaround with a private window doesn't work the other way.
I guess I could get behind some kind of feature that allowed you to choose a "casual or rated"-mode (still giving you the same puzzles), as getting to choose it after seeing it would be pointless in my opinion (and pretty annoying after a while).

As for the filters, wouldn't that change the puzzles' ratings as it's based on who solves it and who doesn't? Players would most certainly choose puzzles with ratings slightly higher, and thus the ratings will be affected heavily. Or maybe they won't? I'm not a math major or anything, correct me if I'm wrong.
I want that.
I am 1300 blitz, but my puzzle rating is 2100 because I spend too much time on each puzzle. I want to train easier tactics(easier puzzles), but faster.
I just want to be able to spot a fork fast - I do not need to be able to spot wether a piece can be trapped in three moves or not.
@hpekristiansen Doing things specifically because you already find them easy, while avoiding the things you find difficult, is not "training". It might be fun, it might be relaxing, but it is not training.
I think logged out you‘ll get pretty easy ones, right?
I think this is a great idea, it would also let those who want a real challenge have a go at puzzles they wouldn't normally get to try, as well as being useful for warming up.
