Why Fischer Random sucks and

The point is mainly that players must rely on position evaluation to choose the next move instead of just memorizing opening moves and theory. However, there are still opening rules of thumb to follow.
Do anyone of the people who are being critical of this suggestion actually play Fischer Random on a regular basis ? Do they play it on regular boards with a neat randomization app ?

If we are going to propose to change the game let's at least do something logical.

Pre Chess would abolish opening theory as we know it but still allow the players to choose the classical formation. The only reason Fischer did not propose this is because Bronstein thought of it first ! So he "improved" the idea by randomization. It is the work of a sick mind and has no future.

I have no idea why you choose such harsh words. @boorchess For a man fighting such a brutal campaign against Chess960 you played plenty of games in this sport if only position 518.

@hangrad because they need new pieces. You can play S-chess here if you join up with an opponent: schess.org
How about Capa Chess? Is there a website for that?
It is impressive that you are a titled player and show so little respect for one of the most impressive sportsman of all time. Chess 960 is quite fun, but Im focusing on getting better in normal chess before I give a serious try to it. If you dont like, just dont play it!
I agree with @GuerrillaChess here, you're being pretty aggressive and if you don't like it, don't play it.

I play both prechess and chess960 with friends sometimes and both have their own elements of fun. Why does your titled position and Fischer's mental illness give you the right to tell me I'm not allowed to pick which variants I want to play? Saying "replace" when we already have a working framework for one is unruly, but nonetheless, I would like to see an implementation of it.

Do I want a fully tactical game where me and my opponent both know some theory? Classical.
Do I want a still tactical game that is based on the classic but with a spun up beginning? Prechess.
Do I want an element of randomness that throws you right into uncertainty? Chess960.

So, as stated before, I sign on to the notion of adding prechess, but chill out mate.
I consider Fischer to be one of the best players of in the last century. And those who like are entitled to play variants, I don't like any of them. Go ahead.

Nevertheless, RJF was batshit insane.
The problem with the standard chess is that chess engines are increasing strenght more and more. The last evolutions of theory are thanks to computers. The value of a computer preparation to caught the opponent in a computer analysis and obtain an advantatge has been increased in the last years. The most powerful engines raise her level by 20 to 50 elo points every year. I like to play against human chess based in human ideas and not enter to memory competitions of who knows better the mighty variations of future engines.

"If one, just one of these damn servers were to implement the logical evolution to chess then you would see my point. Mark my words patzers."

If we accept that logic Fischer can call (when he was alive) patzers to 99.99% of players and win every chess debate.
