Over the Board Vs Online Chess

> 2. Your turn only ends when you hit your clock. The clock must make a sound when it is hit.
> 3. You can move a piece to any square, but if the move is illegal and you hit your clock, you get 1 strike. If you get 2 strikes you lose the game.
> 4. Clocks are also 3D
> 5. The background must be a background of other chess boards in the distance, which move randomly.
> 6. To view the board from a different place you must move the mouse anywhere outside of the board. When you click SHIFT and move the mouse or hold a finger and move another finger, the angle changes.

Just get a chess board
or go to a club and practice

You can play with friends or family or also there are many tournaments you can take part in which only require a small fee

I'm relatively new to OTB as well and certainly agree about how tough it is to see the board in 3D once you're used to online chess.

The other part about OTB is your actual opponent. Online this is just a username but OTB you are playing a real person and can be easily distracted by what they are doing.

Focusing OTB is much harder cause there are so many other things going on. It's usually in some hall where a lot of other people are playing and there are a lot of distractions.

My biggest challenge has been the ability to really focus and then try and see the board as well as I do when I'm playing online. Hoping to play more tournaments this year. Hopefully that will help but am at least a year away from getting to where I'd like to be.
Click on your user name -> board geometry -> 3d.

End thread.

Probably you should just try an oculus and try some other software. I mean, tables are next, then probably the spectators and background.
