Help with a teamed chess tournament.

Hi, I am a casual chess player, and never have participated in any tournaments. But I'm interested and have found a tournament in my locality. It is a teamed tournament where each team will consist of 4 members and the tournament will be a Swiss League tournament of 5 rounds. The problem is, I don't have any idea what a Swiss league is neither do I know how to play chess as a team. Any help?
Chess is an individual game. To play as a team just try to win your own game and you do great for your team.
Swiss league means that there are 16 to 32 teams that play 5 rounds. After round 1 the teams that have won are paired against each other and the teams that have lost too. After round 2 the same: teams with 2/2 against each other, teams with 0/2 against each other, teams with 1/2 against each other and so on.
So you have to play 5 games. In the first games you may play against players that are much weaker or much stronger than you. In that last round you will play against a player that is about your strenght.
Good luck.
Thanks. The tournament also says all FIDE rules apply. can you state some rules that apply rarely so that I don't mess up?
These are the FIDE Laws of Chess:

You must record all moves on your scoresheet. You play with a clock. You may not talk during a game. If you touch a piece you must play it. You may touch a piece only during your own turn. You do not announce check.
