How to defend in bad positions

Defending is much tougher than attacking and even tougher is finding resources for it .
Any good courses , videos , Games of a particular player who always gets attacked but defends unimaginably good and Books on it ?

1) I get outplayed when I try to complicate
2) What is that Sir ?
If your position is already significantly worse, you have no choice but to complicate matters as much as possible. You'll probably still lose, but it's your best chance.

If your position isn't much worse and the only significant factor is that your opponent holds the initiative, you just need to keep calm and calculate variations and try to hold on.

The better you are at attacking, the better you'll be at defending. If you can find the best moves to attack your opponent, you'll be able to see your opponent's attacking plans ahead of time and evaluate whether you need to defend against them or if you can continue with your plan.
