Too Strong, Too Fast: Carlsen Rides Again in the Lichess Titled Arena

This tournament by Magnus is the best bullet i have ever seen looking at the video makes it even more impressive.
@weirdplay What can lichess do? Magnus is the main star on the titled arena, either he wins it or not, a lot of players only join with the intent of playing against him, and of course, there's the fact that he just keeps winning them all, if I'm not mistaken the only 2 he didn't win he passed for tecnical difficultys...
@Wolf21 yeah but that's the point. Even in the ones he didn't win these blog posts were stillMagnus-centric, instead of praising someone else for a change, especially when they had the chance.
@weirdplay What other newsworthy accomplishments do you think occurred in this event? The second and third place finishers were mentioned as well as Penguin's pivotal game. Last article focused on Firouzja quite a bit, as well as penguin, lodewijk, etc. Bear in mind these blogs are basically overviews of the event, not a comprehensive accounting, so I'm not sure how much space is appropriate to allocate for side stories. That said, if you think there's an angle the article missed, please feel free to share it!

@ZugAddict Please add coverage of the technical issues to the article. Things like server load and disabling of profiles should be mentioned. Even in the Magnus video there are scenes where people see the profiles disabled message.
During the event, we noticed that, along with the overall load inflicted by the 42,000 browser tabs open, profile pages were the most costly in terms of CPU. We figured that for a 2h event it was fine to temporarily disable them, the message displayed was something along the lines of "profile pages are temporarily disabled due to high load for the titled arena".

We are of course working on a more long-term solution :)
@Lukhas Small price to pay for such a good event.

Every participant and person behind the scenes deserves thanks for playing a part in the show.
Correction to the post: He won game 26 through 48 in a row, which is a 23 game win streak, not 22.
@weirdplay just write your own longer article and ask lichess to use that one. But I can understand that such an event could certainly give enough material for a longer and more detailed blog entry. On the other hand lichess isn't really having the journalists.
Still happy they exist and I try to watch them live because that is the real fun. Just amazed by Magnus, witnessing that was certainly a wonderful experience.
