Questioning relative value of piecs

My question is what is the better piece or combination of pieces. 2 bishops vs the queen. (The bishop pair, not same color like promoted) I know there are not cookie cutter in chess so when are 2 bishops better and when is queen better and what is better more aften?
Queen, almost always. There'd almost certainly have to be a very immediate, concrete, likely tactical justification for having the 2 bishops for the bishops to offer even the slimmest of chances
There's the Bronstein Queen Sac in the Saemish Kings Indian where two bishops and two pawns are enough for the queen
Queen is significantly stronger than two Bishops.

That being said, it's quite annoying to play with a Queen against two Bishops. In this situation, it's usually a good idea to exchange one rook for one the bishops (ideally a bishop and a pawn and maybe some structural damage) as you'll have an easier time moving around the board with your Queen and pressuring multiple points. Stockfish usually approves of this exchange sacrifice in the games I've analyzed.

Towards an endgame Bishops will be more susceptible to double attacks and skewers versus a Queen. In the best case scenario they can create some kind of fortress for the King with the help of pawns and hold a draw but not very likely to happen in a real game. A theoretical example:

In a real game pawns would have be traded off and it would be a forced win. However long it might take to deliver the checkmate.

There are opening lines where one side sacrifices a Queen for three pieces, and this is usually considered good for the side with three pieces but the Bishop pair is not even close to a Queen in terms of value.

Edit: Adding a game in the line @RomanMauskopf mentions: lichess.org/VCxyB6yF

So even with the addition of two pawns, the side with the Queen is better but not decisively winning.
I think that two good bishops are usually stronger than a single queen when at least 18 men are on the board and the queen doesn't have multiple outposts that target multiple weaknesses.
@EdinburghCollective Three pieces can be a lot of things. Realistically speaking, two bishops is usually far superior to two knights and one bishop if the side with two bishops has one for each color. Three pieces can also be the bishop pair + a knight which is obviously closer to a queen and a half worth of value
