The Fishing Pole Trap

I dropped 200 rating points after using it, and girls laught at me for having watched the video.

It works okay at the lower levels(<1500), but I've found nobody gets caught once you're at a decent rating.

to be honest this trap is not the best, maybe develop more moves if someone does not fall into this trap.

I used to try it a lot when I was rated like 1000, eventually people don't fall for it. Also, when people try it against me I bring all my pieces to defend.

A bunch of guys at 1700 bullet fell for it so no, not totally useless

It is a bad opening. After Ng4? h3 h5? (+-) White can choose between playing c3 and d4, or sacrifying a pawn with d4 exd4 Bf4! Nf6 c3!? Both lost positions for black. Due to playing h5? he has no safe place for his king and white is the boss in the center.

Sounds legit. Stockfish says +1.9, I trust it better.

N78 and Laatiko are correct, its a bs trap. Also its more like a helpmate than a trap.

Probably the best attempt for black, but still a hopeless position. Notice that 14...g5 does not work because of Nxg4! (fork on f6).
