Lagging

I've been on lichess since 2018 and these days I'm encountering a lot of lags:
-When I'm playing I'm losing a lot of time even if I'm playing instantly
-Sometimes it's my turn and when I choose my move, it is identified as a premove
-My chessboard analyzer became soooo slow
-The red pannel "reconnecting" or something in the bottom left comes up much more often
-also when I want to resign or ask for a draw, or a rematch, or a takeback, and all those buttons I have to give it a lot of tries

I've been using the same laptop and connection since I'm playing so I don't think it's coming from that

Guys, help! ...Even when I play instantly my time somehow runs out
Maybe your internet has become worse. If so, there's not much anyone here can do to help.
It says that your average network lag is added to your clock after your move. This can't be entirely true: I have never gained time on a premove (which should happen whenever the move reaches the server faster than my average lag).

If you have a lag spike, you'll lose a lot of time on that move (your average is lower than the spike) but it'll be compensated over the following moves (the spike will have increased your average so your actual lag will be expected to be lower barring another spike). This is unfair if you're so low on time that the lag spike causes you to flag on the initial move, or if your next moves are premoves (which, if I'm right about never gaining time on a premove, can't receive the extra compensation).
Correct, "average network lag is added" is outdated. The system is more sophisticated now and can deal better with lag spikes.

To avoid breaking the flow, no more than a few seconds will be compensated at a time, even for huge lag spikes.

From the description (slow analysis, etc.), OP's issue seems to be something else.
it says "No but your network is good" then it switches to bad and my ping goes back and forth from 200 to 1000...so yeah I guess it's my internet
I never thought lagging would be so much of a trouble on a chess game my elo is falling

revoof "OP"?

Anyway thank you guys for answering :)
Any reason why the lag - or a red/green indicator - can't be displayed onscreen during fast games so people are alerted to the (potential) problem, instead of annoying them to the point where they have to use the forum?
In your game history, you have several games where you have left the game or just let the time run out instead of playing or resigning.
This can be very annoying for your opponents. If this behavior continues to happen, we may be forced to terminate your account.

so just do your job and fix this fucking laggs and if its done you can come back and tell me something alright otherwise stfu
