Timeline lost some messages?

Since one week ago (+- a few days as lichess will count a lot of days as "1 week"), the messages about someone I follow joining a tournament just won't appear. Is it a bug or a feature? I was finding it very helpful and hope it can come back!

Yes, this timeline notification was removed.

What a weird little issues thread. Did they guilt-trip you into removing it by saying you don't care? :|

But why? Its just exactly the thing you want to have when you follow someone: get noticed about their actions.
Really failing to see the reason. Hoping someone will help me understanding... (or even better, bring it back)

I miss the feature, too. I enjoyed reviewing tournaments of better players and having quick access via the timeline. If removing it is advantageous for the site's performance, I will have to accept that :)!

Sometimes this did lead to clutter for example my timeline looked like:
"Lance joined a tournament"
"Lance joined a tournament"
"Lance joined a tournament"
"Lance joined a tournament"
"Lance joined a tournament"

and I couldn't see anything else in the timeline.

I miss the feature as well.

This feature nearly made the timeline unusable for me. It's so much better now.

I don't quite understand why people liked it. Do you really want to know that some random friend played 1 game in a random tournament 12 hours ago?

The 'started following' messages are even less helpful, aren't they?
