Is Trump trolling the US presidency?

to be fair though, the fault is in the bloody US electorate system where a candidate can get most votes from the people and still not be elected president, like in the Gore/Bush election where Gore actually got more votes. We would've had a very different world with Gore, who isn't a climate change denier nor an inside job orchestrator of 9/11 and illegal invader of Afghanistan and Iraq . Note for all Americans : The Bush administration lied about existence of wmd's in Iraq. The people caught lying are the same people that provided you with "the truth" about how 9/11 happened. Just think about that for a little while.
Yes, i think the US electorate system has some singularities i would declare as weaknesses.
Moreover, the fact that many american citizens fall prey to simple slogans like "make america great" and "health care system is communism" and "it's not the guns that kill, it's the people" astonishes me.
The exeggerated national pride that is often celebrated amongst americans is also something that can easily be used by represantives of the political system to manipulate people and gain their favor. And Trump was the all-time champion of typifiing national pride.

To the thread originator's thesis if Trump is trolling the US Presidency:
Maybe it's the american people trolling the rest of the world by electing this "president".
Trump is proof 'Democracy' is an illusion and the 'real power' controls both Democrats & Conservatives.
It's the same in the UK and EVERY country the UK & US has taken Democracy too.
It's how the UK had an Empire 300 years ago.
Trump is an actor, much like Regan in the 1980's, the last real president of the USA was JFK and in the UK Harold Wilson, every leader since has been a 'pawn' of the Federal Reserve, Bank Of England and the IMF (International Monetary Fund) and since the 1970's the ECB (European Central Bank)
@TheRider true dat! With 1% of the population owning 99% of the planets resources(and most if not all of the politicians), we know that we've fubar:ed this planet beyond recognition. One has to either be a billionaire or be funded by the rich to even have half a chance at a presidency) One starts to think communism might not be such a bad idea(if done correctly and not fubar:ed like the USSR and Cuba done it), or at least some form of modern socialist democracy.
communism... NO! Just to let you know, human greed overpowers theoretical knowledge, although you probably already figured that out. THe only place communism would ever work out would be in small nomadic tribal communities, and even there, it could be a stretch. No economic system is good, however capitalism inspires competition and doesn't have the problems of communism and socialism. And yes, the electoral college should be changed. There isn't democracy if the person which less votes wins. That's bs.
I'm American. Wouldn't have it any other way in any other time.

But. Let's get real. Trump was elected by 18%....that's EIGHTEEN PERCENT....of American eligible voters.

We got what we deserved.

The last real president we had was General Eisenhower.

The good news is that presidents are meaningless.

....and, by the way...to answer your question: Trump IS a troll. A TV reality show troll.
Capitalism is better , you say? Let me rephrase : Most countries are capitalist. 99% of the worlds resources are owned and controlled by 1% of the worlds populace. That's capitalism gone wrong, totally failed all over the planet, a big, big failure. When it comes to the US, you guys could afford to have free health and dental care,no homelessness, good wellfare along with a strong workforce and economy. But you blow most of your budget on military upkeep and war-mongering imperialism abroad instead of taking care of citizens first. That's also failed capitalism. Russia is a much better place than the US
The real problem is central banks:
The Federal Reserve is a private bank which issues the US dollars (at interest), Exactly the same in the UK, (Bank of England issues pounds at interest) that's why the US is over 16 trillion dollars in debt and the UK is almost 2 trillion pounds in debt.
I could go on to say why this is the case, but I fear it would cause me to be banned, the truth is unpalatable :p
You can blame the Rotschilds and others for that situation. Even so the US has a congress. Why not make new laws to change that situation into a better system.
