Chess960 bug

Because you're following the wrong game! I just checked and found the game I'm really talking about. In the game I found I tried to castle but when I tried to place the king on the rook to castle it wouldn't allow me to castle. I have to get the link to the game but I can't get the link on the iPhone for some reason. I'll have to get it from my iPad.

It was move 13 when I tried to castle. I placed the king on the rook and it wouldn't let me do it. One move later my King was placed in check. If I had been able to castle one move earlier Black wouldn't have been able to check my King.

Thanks. On move 13 when you aren't in check, I can successfully castle either direction.

From your end but when I tried to castle I could not. This is not the first time I'm seeing this behavior on Lichess when I try castling and it wouldn't let me castle even though I'm legally supposed to be able to castle. I'm bringing this to your attention now because I've experienced this issue several time already and realized this isn't some server connection issue but a castling bug in chess 960.

If Toadofsky is able to castle it doesn't make sense that you are not

Which is why I'm wondering why I couldn't castle there. I was thinking maybe I moved the rook but no. I did not move the rook and in the settings I clearly have it set for the king to be placed on top of the rook to signal a castling move. But when I tried it during the game Lichess wouldn't let me do it. Interesting he was able to do it but notice he was using the replay analysis function to get it to castle. I was playing and trying to castle in game conditions and Lichess wouldn't let me castle there. So I think something is off causing this problem.

No one else is complaining about it, so it somehow is related to your setup or the things you do.

Did you try clicking the pieces instead of dragging them?
Are you using the app or a browser? What browser, exact version?

It would also help if you could record the screen whenever it happens again, for example with OBS (obsproject.com), upload it somewhere, like YouTube, and share it with us.

More generally, knowing the app/browser version helps so I don't have to try them all.
