Crazyhouse > Chessgi?

There's a game very similar to Crazyhouse which is called Chessgi. It differs from Crazyhouse in that promoted pawns retain their promoted status when captured and pawns can be dropped on the first rank (not sure if they can move two squares from there, though).

Is this game better or worse than Crazyhouse?

What do you mean by better?

I mean if there is any reason to believe that either of them is deeper and has a more rewarding gameplay than the other.

Okay, it seems nobody knows what I'm talking about. :)

I suspect Chessgi devalues promotion a bit too much, but I don't have much experience.
