Is there a way to "top off" offline puzzles?

For offline puzzles the app can download a maximum of 50 puzzles for offline play. However, I can't figure out how to "top off" the number of offline puzzles that I have downloaded. Instead, the app makes me exhaust what I have downloaded before it will retrieve more.

For example, if I have 10/50 puzzles remaining for offline play and I connect to the internet, the app will not download another 40 puzzles to bring the total up to 50. When I go back offline, I will still have 10/50 puzzles. I have to get to 0 before more will be downloaded. And strangely, after reaching 0, the app sometimes refills to only 30/50.

Is it possible to manually top off the offline puzzles to the full 50/50?
Not exactly what you want, but you can download the puzzle database here: database.lichess.org/#puzzles

If you know a bit of programming, you could write a script to filter out puzzles in a certain rating range and generate a PGN of them for use in another program like Scid's tactics trainer (Play -> Training -> Tactics).

I think I have enough programming knowledge to create a filtered database of puzzles, but I don't know what app will let me import and play those puzzles on an iPad. Do you recommend a specific app?

I'm not an Apple user, so I don't know, sorry. Maybe someone else can recommend an app.
