lichess classical matching is really slow and there is virtually nobody in the pool

just an issue. before the update I got matched fast, now I don't.

Okay, just wait to get paired. What do you want, for everyone to start playing classical just for you? Really?

Plus, not so much stronger players play classical so with 2200 it is hard.

Its hard to get opponent in classical

I create many times 60+30 games with only elo>2000, i have to wait a little bit but i found players, stop crying.

I also wish there were more people in the pool, but there are Classical Arenas like three times a month which are great fun. There's even one in an hour! lichess.org/tournament/zFDxE9Jp

I usually get paired within a minute or two, to someone within 100 points of me. It's not like bullet where you have the game before you even hit the button, but it's fine.

The main problem with classical I find is not so much finding a game in the first place, but rather getting someone who doesn't abandon the game after ten minutes (resign or just let their clock run).
My classical rating is probably higher than it should be due to the number of games I've won in this way.

Step up to rapid

switch to another server with more players in your range would be my suggestion. otherwise, you'll simply continue facing the same issue.
