How do I make my own piece set?

Hi there, after trying some of the default sets on lichess my interest was piqued and I came up with my own piece designs. I've learnt that you can, presumably with a bit of effort and know-how, import piece styles from userstyles.org.

But how do I make my own designs into a package that I can import to lichess? I don't know any CSS and I can't find any tutorials that could teach me what to do or where to start. Any ideas? Help of course much appreciated.
I used a pieceset that someone else made using Stylish, a plugin for Chrome, but it didn't work. With basic code changes (Just changing the PNG links) I could re-add the images.

You can use whatever pieces you want using this simple method. All you'd need to do is download a piece set, and change the image links in the code.

Note: I don't actually use that piece set, I just thought it was funny. I only played one game with it, and I think it was a draw. My brain hurt afterwards.
Thanks a lot! I will try that out.

PS. I need some of the shampoo the white queen in that image is using, looks like it's the stuff.
I'm happy to say that OldPalHappy's advice worked perfectly, and to thank him again for it.

Here are my pieces at work on the demo board (looking endearingly homemade ;) ).

Can this design be added to lichess? It looks so nice!
Thank you guys for your nice words!

Looks like I accidentally deleted the image of them from imgur when I was uploading the pieces there -- here it is again.

After playing with the pieces for a while and thinking about what I liked and didn't like about them, I made some modifications and came up with this new set. Not in the 40 mins since my last post I hasten to add, it's taken a few hours -- I'm happy with the result, though.

Here they are reconstructing the first game of the World Championship match between Capablanca and Alekhine.

Anyone else think the knights kind of look like smiling alligators now?
I like the first set more, it seems more consistent. I would only change the diamonds within the crown of the king to match the color of the pieces, now the black king has white diamonds on the crown, while the white king has black ones. Maybe I would also change the image used for the queen, but other than that it looks great. I particularly like the image for the pawns (looks like a sword) and the rooks (seems really like a castle). The use of light yellow instead of white is also good (especially on this color of chess board).

The second set is not bad, but personally i think the use of black in the white pieces, ruins it a bit. Also the rooks now look less like a castle.

But still very nice work overall. Keep it up!
