Something sharp against English opening?

Yeah I have played both 1...c6,1...e6,1...Nf6, it usually transposes into d4
@WildTricks Yeah if d4 then it's no problem, but English players usually play 1. c4 for a reason, so it's extremely rare they go for 2. d4. That's why I was looking for something against English specifically
Oh ok then play 1...Nf6 and it usually transposes into d4
White is super flexible, so basically he is in the driver‘s seat and decides.

I mean I played 1. ... b6, 1. ... g6 amongst others but White‘s usually clever enough to circumvent skirmishes or prove them being unsound.
I am an English player since 1992 I very rarely play anything different. Have you tried the Queens Gambit Accepted against it. ie a line such as 1 c4 e6 2 g3 d5 3 d4 dxc4 springs to mind or 1 c4 c6 2 d4 d5 3 Nc3 dxc4 4 e4 e5!!
Just play a completely random move (as long as it's not a blunder) and throw the game into chaos. Amongst the many things we've learnt from all these powerful computer engines is: you can recover from just about any poor move or the loss of any minor piece. So, go rogue and play a bizarre move and that'll open up the game just nicely.
