Repetitive Check to Get a Draw

Is it considered bad by the chess community to repetitive check to get a draw when losing?
No, it is usually considered admirable to save a lost game this way as well as by means of a stalemate.
Often sacrificing a piece, forcing the opponent to capture, otherwise risking losing himself, leads to a perpetual and forcing the draw.

It is a saving "motif" (chess composition) in many a chess game.
@ZenSpark There are 5 ways to draw: by agreeing/3-fold repetition/50-move rule/insufficient material/stalemate. All are honorable - In fact, Li'l Puppet is proud when one can manage a draw, especially against an opponent with a higher rating. "Draw on" and have the best in chessticular activity.
@ZenSpark

nope

its their job to prevent you from doing that so they can win not draw

but if you can do a perpetual check or 3 time repetition of the position then that is certainly fair and your right to do it
Selecting a chess move to make has nothing to do with "rights", but rather choosing the best move available, which often is forcing a draw. Play any available move, everybody is free to do so. It doesn't require legislation ( a "right" to make this move and not another).

A better term is "rules". Chess calls for only legal moves to be made, prohibits illegal ones.
Gotcha. Thanks all; sorry for my noobish questions.
No need to be sorry. Asking such questions is an attribute. Many do not take the consideration and think their perspective is the only one that matters.
Unfortunately, ethics, sportsmanship are terms that get tossed about by too many who disrespect the game.
The answer to the question asked is found in the game itself, for those who choose to look.
