my tactic is to checkmate the opponent.
#1 Unsound openings/variations of standard chess are great surprise weapons in Crazyhouse as most the players tend to play standard lines on time pressure. Bishop before Knights. Always check opponent bishops before developing your Knights. Don't let them pin your Knights.

crazy house is more about material than normal chess. if you lose pawns especially. you die quickly
Crazy house is a normal chess, but Sweden version. The Sweden version is 2v2,but it's 1v1. The goal is to basically get as much things asap and you will get the win.
One mistake that novice Crazyhouse players make is to ignore the pieces in their stash. Use them!
Use them to drop mate. Use them to block checks. Drop pawns on the seventh, etc.!
