Is Northern U.S. friendly for work life?

I've lived in the South a long time and hear different viewpoints, I would consider relocating to the North.

I don't know. I'm only 14.
Might want to look at the crime statistics first.
The cost of living is rather high also.
I would avoid the rust belt.
It also depends upon your line of work and how unionization applies to the same .

That might indicate that you aren't the target audience, and thus probably shouldn't respond to the question.

Yeah maybe I shouldn't have responded in the first place... lol.

The South is known for its hospitality- I think you might find life in the Northeast a little rushed, and maybe interactions less personal. I mean, people are definitely friendly, but in my opinion people in the South in general devote more time for social gatherings while people in the Northeast tend to be busier with work. However, this is just a broad generalization and one can surely find friends if one makes the effort to connect with others. The cost of living will likely be higher like Dukedog said.
