I wish you all enjoyable holiday season and excellent new year 2023 ahead.

On Saturday Dec 31 I will hold a sparring match event, with manual pairing system.

NOTE: This has nothing to do (not same/ not related) with the Current Running Swiss tourney 90m+30s

Let me explain the format.

Time control: 60m+30s (Rated), and you will play 1 game only.

Played on: Saturday, Dec 31, 15:00 UTC (10:00 am EST)

NOTE:
- Registration will be closed on Sat, Dec 31, 14:50 UTC / 09:50 am EST (10 minutes before starting time).
- In order to make sure that everyone attends their game, please be online on lichess at 14:50 UTC / 09:50 am EST -- I will only pair registered players who are online at 14:50 UTC / 09:50 am EST

- I will then post the pairings in this comment section around 14:55 UTC / 09:55 am EST

I will list the players from highest rating to lowest rating.

For example: if there are 6 players

Player#1 (highest rating)
Player#2 (2nd rank)
Player#3 (3rd rank)
Player#4 (4th rank)
Player#5 (5th rank)
Player#6 (6th rank)

Then I will set the pairing as follow:

Player#1 (White) vs Player#2 (Black) or Player#2 (White) vs Player#1 (Black)
Player#3 (White) vs Player#4 (Black) or Player#4 (White) vs Player#3 (Black)
Player#5 (White) vs Player#6 (Black) or Player#6 (White) vs Player#5 (Black)
.. and so on

This way, the 2 players with closest rating with play each other.
