What is the age limit for kid mode? And is there a age limit for posting forums?

What is the age limit for kid mode? And is there a age limit for posting forums? There may be some people who are underage I don't know.
Kids mode is there to protect kids from potential harmful people/posts and DM (DM= short for direct message)
There isn't an age limit.

Do you have to use kid mode if you are a certain age?
@MarleyDesforges No. It is there as an option to protect children from unwanted attention from potential harmful people.

It's not a requirement, besides it would also be impossible for Lichess to enforce.

"Creating an Account
To sign up for a Lichess account, you need to be 16 or over. If you’re under 16, you can only use Lichess with kid mode permanently enabled (configurable here) or with parental/guardian supervision and consent. You’re responsible for your account and all the activity on it."

According to the ToS they have to be, but this is primarily written for a legal reason.
But yes, technically anyone under 16 must have kids mode enabled.
However it is impossible for Lichess to verify a persons age.
It is however recommendable to always supervise your children's online activities.

Ok thanks a lot. I needed to verify that :)

So you can use it without kid mode, just with parent supervision!
