My best game ever....

Agreed the bumps do emerge after 1300, but they really bloom into "spikes" with patterned shape above 1500.

I think I confused 2000 with 1500. I don't know why I only remember 2000. Maybe because that would be a psychological test of my priorities. Do I want to fixate on rating? A tiny fraction of me would see a hundredth as an accomplishment. Although rationally, nonsense, not just for the real value that rating is, but for being a compressed average of many skills probably in unequal development. so I would better focus on those and find ways to measure them, puzzles maybe (but they only target tactics, not position evaluation, which does affect which tactics to favor..)

so finally, ok, rating. last resort measure. that which others see, and most importantly, other interesting future pairings might be based upon.

Edit: is it a real value? We see integers, but at some point in glickos isn't there some interaction with the variance (should have said SD or deviation, but messing with chess terminology makes me smile, maybe my inner troll). my point 1999 or 2000 what's the diff.
@dboing
This last statement is quite funny to me, because I have been desperately trying to get my classical rating to 2200 for the last few days, but I have only managed to get 2199 and 2201 so far...
@Project_2200
no right. the spike only needs above 2200. 2201 is fine. don't worry. I looked. you are actually aiming at it...
"rires dehors bruyants" (google it). Research project? Since 2016 the account. Interesting. You should take notes, about that. You should have a fine understanding of the user end point of view about rating evolution.
Take home: any goal can be useful once verbalized and communicated? The plus side, is once you are done with time controls, you are stuck with your named project, and have to keep working on the other variants, even those you would not have tried for other reasons... Helps with motivation to keep going at it.
