Opening Suggestions

I am a 1350 and I'm looking to expand my openings to basic theory against common openings.

I have some for e4 e5.

What should I learn against 1.d4 as black, and 1.e4 c5 as white?

Thanks!
Develop your pieces. Control the center. Look at classic games.
When you start to learn an opening, look at the typical resulting middlegames first.
I think that Caro Kann is the best opening I don't play it much online but play it all the time offline and for white, i love the London system
I hope this helped you
Thanks!

According to my when I was in a 1300 level I just used to be standard and my coach said that at this level 1300 - 1500 don't learn openings too early be solid in standard only Then openings as i am a 1700 now I learn openings

Ok... Against d4 I play and I recommend playing Nf6 getting in indian defenses but you can also try the dutch (f5) or d5
Against sicilian best is to play Nf3 for playing d4
caro requires more thought than just 'develop pieces and control the center', my recommendation is just to play basic stuff like French, London/Italian, and queen's pawn until you get better at the rest of the game
Don't dive into openings yet. Play simple stuff. For 1. d4 go ...d5. If you play QGD you will get out of the opening with playable position most of the time. QGA is more tricky, don't go for it. After 1. e4 c5 with white I suggest the Rossolimo Attack.
