Hi friends. I enjoy playing chess as a hobby but I end up making a lot of blunders which have costed me a lot of games. I try to do tactical puzzles and take longer to think before I move but that doesn't seem to work. I also struggle to come up with plans for my position.
there is no simple solution or trick to avoid blunders:
- as stupid as it sounds: practice & play more - a lot more
- join a local chess club (individual & better feedback than the typical shallow responses you will get in a forum)
wish you good luck

How should that work, an transfer of experience over serveral decades?
Yeah, you have to work hard.
Yeah, you have to work hard.
Thank you for all of your support.
Why did he move this piece ?
is this piece dangerous if she move a second time ?
Is my piece safe ? (at least three security checks after a queen move !!!)
and so on...
May be less blunder. with some hope !

I'm aware of all the tactics: forks, pins, skewers, discovered attack, double attacks and deflections. I struggle to apply these within my own games. Sometimes I miss an opportunity to win material or sometimes I end up losing material.
Even in the games that I win, I still make many horrific blunders and I see them just after I make the blunder.
Only slow games to improve the no-blunder ability
Think positive: You do become better, but all the others, too!
Thanks. I think what I'll do is play some tactics exercises to warm up before the next game and play a long game to give me lots of time to think about my opponents threats, checks, captures etc.
